Disney has postponed Star Wars: Starfighter and transformed it into a 2027 TV pilot. Shawn Levy will direct the project, which is set to follow The Mandalorian's soft links with the Star Wars universe. Jonathan Tropper crafted the script and claims that fans will embrace the series once it arrives. Disney has also halted all new Star Wars streaming shows for a year, making room for this standalone series.
