Ed Harris complained at the start about his limited part in the spin-off in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and insisted on exiting. Harris told Variety, 'bluntly Get me the f- out of here' as he walked away. He later decided to return for Season 2 to rejoin for the sequel. The show’s boss adjusted the narrative and gave his character additional depth. That change made Harris decide to stay. Deadline now says he will appear again in the character.
