Sacramento Kings guard Darius Acuff Jr. scored 25 points and eight assists in a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, drawing attention as one of the standout players in the Kings' early exhibition slate.

In a separate preseason outing against the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento mounted a late run but came up short. The loss was secondary to a serious concern: center Maxime Raynaud left the game in a wheelchair with an apparent knee injury, casting a shadow over the team's preseason outlook.
